Mandarin Oriental

480 translucent drop beads float over the space, located along the Club Lounge of the new Mandarin Hotel in Santiago. During the day the rays of natural light enter through the large screens making each one of the drops shine, observing a small glint in the transparent ones and an even shine. This effect changes as the light rays change their angle during the course of the day. At night the artificial light projectors programmed for a subtle movement illuminate the crystals generating beautiful caustics of light and transforming the perception of the piece of glass.
